A low pressure calibration setup is different from its high pressure counterparts. A sealed and controlled low pressure environment is influenced by many internal and external factors such as the climate condition, direct air flow, humidity control, pressure and temperature within the room caused by instruments, workers, and computers.
With excellent pressure regulation, the model BL507 low pressure deadweight tester is ideal primary standard for defining the pressure low to 2 kPa with 0.005% of reading.
FEATURES
Pressure ranges: (2~100) kPa, (1~25) kPa, (2~40) kPa
Accuracy is 0.02%, 0.01% and 0.005% of reading
The piston is ceramic, which temperature coefficient is only 3.2x10-6m/℃
20cm2 Big piston areas can meet high precision float requirement
Modular piston and cylinder design is easy to maintenance and re-calibration.
Gas lubrication makes high sensitivity.
Built-in air purifier on a molecule filter
High quality needle valves provide optimum control and sealing
APPLICATION
Primary pressure standard in lab
Reference pressure measure on workshop

(Need to inform the local gravity value in advance)
If, the pressure range is (1.2~10) kPa, piston area A0 = 9.78027 cm2, the relative expanded uncertainty of the effective area is Urel = 6.4×10-5+6.8×10-5/P, (P in kPa),k=2. What is the uncertainty of Ao in cm2 in this condition?
When pressure is low limit range 1.2 kPa,
ULLR= 6.4×10-5+6.8×10-5/1.2 cm2
ULLR= 12.07×10-5 cm2
When pressure is upper limit range 10kPa,
UULR= 6.4×10-5+6.8×10-5/10 cm2
UULR= 7.08 ×10-5 cm2
According to above question and answer, why the uncertainty in lower pressures is higher than in higher pressures?
It is caused by the sensitivity thresholds (or response thresholds in technical language).
The sensitivity thresholds value is a minimum fixed number.
If the pressure is lower limit range (LLR), the effected erroris bigger.
Vice versa, the effected error is smaller for the upper limitrange (ULR) .
This is why the pressure stability is hard to control for very low pressure.
Lower pressure, harder to control.
