The Model BL571 low pressure calibration pump is a low air pressure source with the ability to easily adjust and stabilize. This hand pump possesses a pressure range of ± 40kPa; uses air as the media and can adjust the pressure easily and stably.
The BL571 is made up of push-in fittings for fast instrument connection and disconnect. The Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) pump body to lessen the heat effect during the micro-pressure calibration. The adjusting resolution is up to 0.1Pa (0.001mbar). These features make the BL571 ideal for calibrating pressure transducers, precision pressure gauges, and other pressure instruments.

Selection Comparison Table for Common Differential Pressure Gauge Ranges & Applicable Working Conditions
I. Selection Table for Conventional GasWorking Condition Ranges
Pressure Range | Common Type | Typical Application | Remarks |
0~60 Pa, 0~100 Pa, 0~250Pa | Mini Differential Pressure Gauge | Pressure difference monitoring for cleanworkshops, operating rooms, negative pressure wards, laboratories; positive airpressure of elevator lobbies and fire escape stairwells | Designed for tiny pressure differences toprevent reverse cross-contamination of air. A 40 kPa range must never be usedhere, as it will cause extremely large measurement errors |
0~500 Pa, 0~1 kPa | Low Differential Pressure Gauge | HEPA filters in clean air-conditioning systems, fume hoods, air duct air volume measurement for small ventilation systems | The most widely adopted range for clean HVACsystems, typically used for pressure differences of several hundred Pascals |
0~2 kPa, 0~5 kPa | Differential Pressure Gauge | Medium-efficiency filters for air conditioning, small dust removal equipment, inlet and outlet of low-air-volume fans, air ductairflow measurement via Pitot tubes | Standard range for conventional centralair-conditioning units |
0~10 kPa, 0~20 kPa | Medium-range Differential Pressure Gauge | Baghouse dust collectors, small Roots blowers, aeration systems, gas filters, precision filters for air compressors | Frequently selected for industrial ventilationand environmental dust treatment |
0~40 kPa | Medium-to-high Range Differential Pressure Gauge | Large bag / filter cartridge dust collectors, boiler air preheaters/economizers, flue gas pipelines for desulfurization anddenitrification, pneumatic conveying pipelines, orifice plate flow meters, high-flow aeration systems, inlet / outlet pressure monitoring for large fans, heat exchangers, security filters for pure water equipment | Suitable for working conditions with relativelyhigh pressure differences; not applicable for tiny pressure differences ofseveral tens of Pascals. Tolerates high static pressure and fluctuatingdifferential pressure |
0~100 kPa and above | High-range Differential Pressure Gauge | High-pressure gas pipelines, industrial high-pressure filter pressure monitoring, hydraulic circuit differential pressure measurement | Mainly used for industrial high-pressure fluids, not categorized as low differential pressure measurement |
II. Bidirectional Positive & Negative Differential Pressure Ranges (for fluctuating pressure conditions)
Pressure Range | Applications |
-500 Pa~+500 Pa | Fluctuating air duct pressure, exhaust systems, negative-pressure laboratories, oven pressure monitoring |
-1 kPa ~ +1 kPa | Unstable pressure in dust removal pipelines, alternating positive/negative pressure fluctuations in boiler furnaces |
-5 kPa~+5 kPa | Unstable pressure in dust removal pipelines, alternating positive/negative pressure fluctuations in boiler furnaces |
III. Simplified Selection Recommendations by Industry
1. HVAC & Purification Industry
Room pressure difference: Prioritize 0~60 / 100 / 250 Pa
HEPA filters: 0~500 Pa / 0~1 kPa
Medium/primary efficiency filters: 0~2 kPa, 0~5 kPa
Fans for large combined air-handling units: Optional 0~10 kPa, 0~40 kPa
2. Dust Removal, Boilers & Flue Gas Environmental Protection
Conventional baghouse dust removal: 0~10 kPa, 0~20 kPa
Large-scale dust removal, boiler flues, desulfurization & denitrification: 0~40 kPa is preferred
3. Water Treatment & Aeration Systems
Precision filters for pure water: 0~1 kPa / 0~5 kPa
Sewage aeration blowers and aerator monitoring: 0~10 kPa, 0~40 kPa
4. Powder Material & Pneumatic Conveying, Flow Measurement
Conventional powder conveying: 0~10 kPa
High-pressure dilute-phase conveying, orifice plate flow measurement: 0~40 kPa
IV. Application Restrictions for 40 kPa Differential Pressure Gauges
Not applicable for room pressure difference measurement at tens of Pascals in cleanrooms. Excessively wide range leads to nearly invisible pointer deflection for tiny pressure differences, resulting in invalid measurements.
Designed for dry and clean gases only. Dusty, humid or corrosive flue gas applications require accessories including dampers, corrosion-resistant diaphragms and condensing devices.
Optimal measurement accuracy is achieved when operating differential pressure falls within 1/3 to 2/3 of the full range (13.3~26.7 kPa).
